Late July - August 2023 - December 2023

Hi there. It’s a shame, but I haven’t posted for so long! Here I’ll try to catch it up chronologically as this period has been full of many sad and unpredictable events:    Late July - 2023: Flight to Bosporus, area Taxim. Spent there a great time with Olia, Slav and kids. 11August - 16 August: Flight to Jordanville convent to say ‘Good Bye’ to my dearest aunt - Mother Anna. She was about to pass away. This took place on August 17, just after my leaving. Thanks God I managed to see her for 2 days and talked to her, even though it was really difficult for her.. Before that (in April 2023) Olia, David and kids visited Mother Anna. She looked much better at that time - see their photo. Next to this pic, there is my photo with her, which was taken in 1956. . Early October 2023: our flight to Belek Turkey with our friends - Lara and Sasha: it was a nice chance to distract from grievances we experienced in August. June - July 2023

Hey there. Many things have happened over this period.          From 22 to 26 of June we had visited Dagestan- Derbent. There we spent a really great time traveling and seeing our best friends - Aldimir and Tanya. We stayed in the same hotel and even saw a Peter’s the Great museum in Derbent. Here are some pics: On July 8 we had a huge anniversary at the restaurant “Kavkazdkaya plennitsa”, where Slav gathered 75 people  From his company ITP  and his students. It was Slav’s 70th anniversary. It was so funny and successful that all guests were really happy. Among them my sister Nana and nieces who flew to Moscow for this very purpose. It’s a very busy city where streets are narrow and lots of cars. Love and hugs to all my dearest and nearest.

May - June 2023

Hey there, It was nice to be in Moscow in May-June as it was warm and sunny. I also had a friend Lidia from St Pet's visiting us in Moscow. It was nice and memorable But the most exciting was our trip to Yerevan with Stepa who did PETfS exam there at the Pass Centre. In Russia we no longer have these centres working now because of sanctions. We also had my pupil Ivan and his Mom in Yerevan. It was like an excursion for them and they loved it. Yerevan is really beautiful!   Now we are preparing for the trip to Dagestan, to Derbent, to see Sl;av's friend there. My love and hugs to all my dearest in the USA, Georgia and Russia. Love you all!!!

April - Early May 2023

Hey there, It's been long since I posted last time.  The early April was bright and sunny with the Easter Day and Palm Sunday also bright and beautiful Below there are some pics about these days with Stepan. Marina and the Donskoi monastery: The late April was also sunny and bright. I had my girls sent to the exam CAE and it was great as in the current military situation in Russia this was really hard to realize. In the late April we flew to our beloved Turkey (Kemer Beldibi). We love mountains and the sea there. However, the best news of April was Dimochka, Michael and Lena's trip to Mather Anna and after that Olia's, Yanochka's, Kai's and David's visit to Mother Anna. It was so good of my American nearest and dearest!!! Mother Anna was happy to see them all. Now, many hugs and kisses to all of you. We miss you all!!!
