Hey there, We've just arrived from Georia, where we've been for almost 18 days. First we arrived in Tbilisi (via Yerevan, Armenia), then we met Olia and kids (on July 23d) and then we altogether went by car to Batumi on July 29th. In Tbilisi we travelled to Kazbegi and Tskhneti. It was nice and beautiful. In Batumi we stayed at Paragraph hotel (5star, very modern) and enjoyed their beaches with black magnetic sand, which is used as a healing remedy. We celebrated Olia's birthday in Batumi, at Paragraph hotel. But Batumi's become very Islamic - everywhere Turkish cafes and Kasinos. Back in Tbilisi we arrived on August 8. Then Olia with kids flew to SF (though Munich), but we stayed till August 11 at Radisson hotel. The whole trip was rather enjoyable except a few minor problems with drivers and some blocked roads near South Ossetia. In addition, our street Plekhanova has become completely Turkish, my school #32 has become a kind of sth. for films...bad news. Have a loo
