I was swimming a lot, even though the temperature was not so comfortable: 19-20 C. But the weather was really warm and sunny so I could feel good after swimming sessions lying in the sun for a while. The place was beautiful, the nothern part of the island, inbetween Heraklion and Retimno. It was my second time on the island. The first one was in 1998, when we returned to Moscow to find ourselves bankrupts as it was the year of the collapse of our economy. We managed to survive and so did the island which didn't seem to have changed. It is said that Creta was the home of the most recent civilization??.
