New Year 2007 in SF, California
Hi, everyone,
Now that 3 days of the New Year 2007 have already passed, I can share with you my impressions.
The big day was more modest than Chrismas as all shops kept working till late in the evening. The only thing that made it different was that lots of people in the streets and shops said "Happy New Year!" to each other and to you whenever it's the right situation for that.
Frankly speaking, I expected more excitement as in Russia it's always sth special about this day. But still I remembered the saying "When in Rome, do as the Romans do," so we went to the skating rink for a change. There we had a lot of fun but I fell on the ice and damaged my wrist. The X-ray is very dear here so I decided to wait till Moscow. This incident slightly spoiled my stay here. Hopefully, it's not serious.
I'll try to post further comments later on, this week.
Best wishes, Minats
