Hey, from the snorkelling trip!

Really, it was an exciting trip on a Cham island. The pick up van arrived at 8:30am and the adventure began. There were about 30 people on a boat, not all of them for snorkelling. A few people came for diving and they had a diving instructor. As for the folk there, some people were from Netherlands, France, Australia, New Zeland, Italy and, perhaps, some others, I don't know. But the Russians were only us. The boat and the business belong to an Italian family. The head of the family, quite a remarkable Italian guy in his late-forties, was in charge of both snorkelling and diving. I was surprised at his fluent Vietnamese language when he gave orders to some very helpful and ever smiling Vietnamese boys on the boat. I was also surprised not to see flocks of Chinese people there(from Hong Kong) as they are really plentiful in Hoi An and the hotels here. So I thought that only Europeans could be interested in spending their time on a boat and the island shorkelling or diving as for the Chinese it's so common and not unusual either. The transportation took us some 45 min (some people got sea-sick) and we started exploring local underwater life. It's amazing that in our time of global pollution there still are exceptionally beautiful corrals and fish here, in Vietnamese Seas. The snorkelling equipment proved to be reliable and I managed to use it without problems. The only problem for some people (including my husband, not me) were patches of young jelly-fish in the water. They sting slightly and for this reason many people wore wet suits while snorkelling. I neglected this and had no regrets as the water there is cristal clear. Well, we spent some time on the island where some people went to the local village to meet the locals (the girl in the photo, Stanislav took this photo)but I did another snorkelling session since I could't help enjoying this beauty one more time. The trip back was also enjoyable as we were sitting on the upper deck watching fabulous sunset and the scenery around.
We got back at 7 pm full of sun, impressions and this special touch of Vietnam which is really something you can't experience until you find yourself plunged in their culture.
